Sweet & Salty Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars!!

OMG!! These bars are SO good! I love a sweet and salty combination and that's exactly what you get with this recipe. The dark chocolate chips, and M&M's combined with the salted pretzels make for a delicious treat! I love to serve these at family gatherings, birthday parties, BBQ's, sleepovers, and after school treats. I hope you love them as much as I do!

Prep: 8 minutes Cook time: 22-24 minutes


-1/2 cup salted butter (melted)

-3/4 cup light brown sugar

-1/4 cup granulated sugar

-1 egg

-1 teaspoon vanilla extract

-1 cup flour

-1 cup quick rolled oats

-1/2 teaspoon baking soda

-1/4 teaspoon baking powder

-1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

-1/4 teaspoon salt

-1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

-1/4 cup dark chocolate M&M's

-A handful of salted pretzels

Next Step:

-Preheat oven to 350 F and line and 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper.

-In a glass bowl melt the butter in the microwave.

-In a medium size mixing bowl add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Whisk to combine.

-Add the vanilla extract and whisk.

-Add the egg and whisk. Set aside.

-In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Whisk to combine.

-Pour the wet ingredients into the flour/oat mixture. Stir with a spoon to combine.

-Once combined add in the chocolate chips and M&M's. Stir.

-Pour the batter into your baking dish. Add the pretzels and a few extra M&M's on top.

-Bake for 22-24 minutes, until the center is set and the edges are a light golden brown.

-Let cool for 10 minutes.

-Slice, Serve, and ENJOY!!!
