Strawberry Moscow Mule!!
Happy Friday! I hope you enjoy this Strawberry Moscow Mule as much as I do! It is so delicious and great anytime of the year! It is so refreshing and flavored with an amazing strawberry simple syrup that you can use in drinks and when baking! It has fresh mint, vodka, fresh lime, ginger beer, and strawberries! Cheers! xo
-3 oz vodka
-1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
-1 teaspoon strawberry simple syrup
-Garnish with lime, fresh mint, and a strawberry
Strawberry Simple Syrup:
-1/2 cup strawberries chopped
-1/4 cup water
-1/4 cup granulated sugar
-Start by making the strawberry simple syrup. This can be done a day or two in advance.
-On the stovetop add the chopped strawberries, water, and sugar.
-Bring to a light boil and stir for 8 minutes. You will see the strawberries breakdown and the liquid come together. Constantly stir.
-Drain the strawberry syrup over a mesh strainer. Let all the liquid come through the strainer. Be sure not to push down too hard, you don't want the fruit to go through the mesh.
-Then add the syrup to a small glass jar with a lid.
-Put in the refrigerator to cool. While cooling the strawberry syrup will thicken.
-(If you want to have extra strawberry syrup for baking, then double the recipe)
-Make your Strawberry Moscow Mule!
-To a shaker add the vodka, fresh lime juice, 2 mint leaves, and the strawberry simple syrup over ice.
-Shake for 30 seconds.
-Add a large ice cube to a glass and pour your mixture in.
-Top off with ginger beer and garnish with mint leaves, a lime wedge, and a strawberry.
