Spicy Garlic Parmesan Brussel Sprouts!


These Spicy Garlic parmesan brussel sprouts are the perfect side dish to add to your Thanksgiving feast! They are easy and quick to make and have so much flavor! Brussel sprouts are high in fiber, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and can even help to reduce inflammation! Happy Thanksgiving! xo


Ingredients:

-1 lb brussel sprouts

-3 tablespoons olive oil (divided)

-5 garlic cloves (whole)

-4 Fresno Chile peppers (2 sliced, 2 whole)

-salt and pepper

-1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

-3/4 cup parmesan (grated)

Next Step:

-Wash, peel, and slice off the bottom of the brussel sprouts.

-Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil on the brussel sprouts and sprinkle with salt, pepper and red pepper flakes. Toss to coat.

-Preheat the oven to 400 F.

-Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to a cast iron skillet.

-Heat the skillet on med/high.

-Once the skillet is hot, add in the brussel sprouts. (Make sure they are sliced side down)

-Immediately add in the Fresno Chile peppers and the garlic cloves.

-Cook for 6 minutes.

-Toss and then place the cast iron skillet into the oven for 7-12 minutes.

(The timing depends on if you like your vegetables harder or softer)

-Take out and sprinkle with fresh grated parmesan cheese.

-Serve hot and ENJOY!!!
