Oh...how I LOVE the combination of peanut butter, dark chocolate, and cookie dough! I mean, is there anything better?!? These peanut butter dark chocolate swirl cookie bars are amazing!! They are so delicious and could be up there as one of my favorite cookies!
Ingredients:
-1 1/2 flour
-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
-1/4 teaspoon baking powder
-1/4 teaspoon salt
-1 egg
-1 teaspoon vanilla
-1/2 cup dark brown sugar
-1/2 cup granulated sugar
-1/2 cup salted butter (softened)
-1/2 cup mini dark chocolate chips
-1/4 cup peanut butter
-1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
Next Step:
-Preheat oven to 350 F and line and 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper.
-In a large bowl using a hand or stand mixer, combine the butter and sugars.
-Then add in the egg and vanilla. Continue to mix.
-In a small bowl add the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Mix with a spoon to combine.
-Slowly add the flour mixture to your wet ingredients and mix with your mixer.
-Add the chocolate chips and mix with a spoon.
-Add your cookie dough to the baking dish. Set aside.
-Using a microwave safe glass bowl, melt the peanut butter. (30 seconds and then stir)
-In another microwave safe glass bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 25 second increments, stirring in-between so your chocolate does not burn.
-Dollop the melted peanut butter and chocolate all over the cookie batter. Using a knife or a toothpick, gently swirl both into and on top of the cookie batter.
-Bake for 21-25 minutes. (I will take them out when the middle is set and the edges have a nice golden color.)
-Take out and let cool for 15 minutes.
-Slice and serve.
-ENJOY!!!
