Happy St. Patrick's Day!! If you like Irish Beer Bread, then definitely make this quick and easy loaf! It is SO good warm with butter...yum! It doesn't need any time to rise and no kneading! The bread turns into a nice golden brown because of the Guinness and brown sugar. ENJOY!!
Prep: 8 minutes Cook time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
-3 cups flour
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-1 tablespoon baking powder
-1 teaspoon salt
-1 Guinness (11.2 oz)
-1/4 cup dark brown sugar
-3 tablespoons melted butter (cooled)
-1 egg
Next Step:
-Preheat oven to 350 F and add parchment paper to a loaf pan.
-In a large mixing bowl add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Stir to combine.
-Add in the brown sugar and whisk to combine and remove any lumps.
-Add in the Guinness and egg. Stir to lightly combine.
-Then add in the melted butter and stir until your dough forms.
-The dough will be thick. (Do not use a mixer)
-Once the dough forms add it to your loaf pan and spread out evenly.
-Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
-Let cool for 10 minutes.
-Serve warm with butter.
