Ingredients:

-1 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons bread flour

-1 1/8 teaspoon active dry yeast

-3/4 teaspoon granulated sugar

-1 teaspoon salt

-3/4 cup warm water

-1 tablespoon olive oil

-4 tablespoons salted butter

-5 garlic cloves (chopped)

-1/4 cup parsley (chopped)

-1/2 teaspoon ground pepper

-1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

-2 tablespoons fresh parmesan (grated)

Next Step:

-Using a stand mixer, add in the flour, yeast, sugar, salt, warm water, and olive oil. Mix on low for 1 minute and then increase the speed until the dough forms.

-Take out a large cutting board and sprinkle with bread flour.

-Take out the dough (it might feel slightly sticky, that's ok) Place the dough on the board and sprinkle bread flour on top of the dough.

-Kneed the dough for 3 minutes. (Add more flour if it feels sticky)

-Add a small drizzle of olive oil to the bottom of a large bowl. Using a paper towel smear the olive oil into the bottom and sides of the bowl.

-Place the dough in the bowl and cover it for 2 hours. During this time the dough will rise and almost double in size.

-Next, add a sprinkle of bread flour to your cutting board and place the dough on top. Gently form it into a long rectangle.

-Cut inch and a half long pieces and form it into a long log.

-Next, make a knot with dough and then immediately form another knot with the bottom 2 pieces.

-You should be able to make 11 or 12 garlic knots.

-Place the garlic knots on a parchment lined baking sheet. Then lightly cover with aluminum foil. Let sit for 30 minutes.

-Preheat the oven to 450 F.

-Bake the knots for 17-18 minutes.

-Take out and let cool for a couple of minutes while you make the garlic butter drizzle.

-On the stovetop heat up the butter on low heat. As soon as it is almost melted add in the ground pepper, red pepper flakes, and garlic. Let simmer on low for one minute and then add in the chopped fresh parsley. Simmer for 1 more minute and then remove from the heat. (You do not what to burn the garlic)

-Brush on the garlic butter mixture all over the garlic knots.

-Then sprinkle with fresh parmesan.

-Serve with a side of marinara.

-ENJOY!!!
