Cinnamon Bun Pancakes

If you love cinnamon buns as much as I do, then definitely try these cinnamon bun pancakes! They have a delicious brown sugar and cinnamon swirl throughout the whole pancake. My kids beg for me to make these. They love to help decorate their pancakes with the icing and are so easy to put together. I love to make these pancakes for special occasions!

Ingredients:

-1 1/2 cups flour

-1 1/2 cups milk (I prefer oat milk)

-3 teaspoons baking powder

-3 tablespoons salted butter (melted)

-1 egg

-1 tablespoon granulated sugar

-1 teaspoon salt

-1 tablespoon brown sugar

-2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

-2 Mini squeeze bottles or 2 plastic baggies.

Vanilla Icing:

-1/2 cup powdered sugar

-1 tablespoon butter (melted)

-1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

-2 to 3 teaspoons of oat milk (any milk will work)

-pinch of salt

Next Step:

-In a large bowl add the flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt. Stir.

-In another bowl mix together the melted butter, egg, and milk. Whisk to combine.

-Pour the wet ingredients into the flour mixture and whisk to combine. (Add more milk if you feel it is too thick)

-Add 1/2 of the batter to a mini squeeze bottle or a plastic baggie. (If you use a baggie, then just clip the end)

-For the other half of the batter add the brown sugar and cinnamon and whisk to combine.

-Then add that mixture to the other mini squeeze bottle/plastic baggie.

-Set aside both bottles and make the vanilla icing.

-In a small bowl with a hand mixer combine the powdered sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, salt, and milk. Mix until combined. Set aside.

-On the stove top add a little butter to the pan. On low heat start making your pancakes!

-Alternating between the regular batter and the cinnamon batter swirl it into the pan.

I like to start with the cinnamon batter and then alternate swirls until you have the size pancake you like. Keep the heat on low while doing this so the pancake doesn't cook too quickly.

-Flip when it starts to bubble and cook another minute.

-Take out and drizzle with the icing.

-Serve immediately and ENJOY!!!
