Is there anything better than a warm chocolaty lava cake with fruit and ice cream!?! Your guests will think you worked all day on these amazing cakes, however they only take 5 minutes to prepare! The flavor of rich dark chocolate bursts in your mouth! This is definitely one of my favorite desserts and love to serve it around the holidays.
Prep time: 5 minutes Cook time: 11 1/2 minutes ~Yields: 6 Lava Cakes
Ingredients:
-3/4 cup bittersweet chocolate chips. (Make sure it is bittersweet chocolate and that you go a little above 3/4 cup instead of below when measuring)
-8 tablespoons salted butter
-1/3 cup granulated sugar
-1/4 cup flour
-3 large eggs
-1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
-a sprinkle of powdered sugar
-vanilla ice cream
-berries
Next Step:
-Preheat your oven to 400 F and grease your muffin tin well with butter.
-In the microwave melt the butter and chocolate together. Stir every 25 seconds until fully melted. Set aside.
-In a separate bowl whisk the eggs until fluffy.
-Add in the sugar and vanilla and whisk until combined.
-Add in the flour and continue to whisk until fully incorporated.
-Pour your melted chocolate into your egg mixture and whisk for 1 minute.
-Pour batter into 6 muffin tins.
-Bake for 11 1/2 minutes and serve immediately.
-Garnish with powdered sugar, berries, and vanilla ice cream!
