Candied Pecans!


Candied pecans are the best toppings for salads, ice cream, desserts, and more! They add a little crunch, sweetness, and protein to any dish! They are easy to make and great to grab on the go for a quick snack!


Ingredients:

-1 1/4 cup pecans

-1/2 cup dark brown sugar

-1/4 teaspoon salt

-1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

-2 tablespoons cold water


Next Step:

-Add parchment paper to a large baking sheet. Set aside.

-On the stovetop over medium heat add the brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and water.

-After 1 minute the mixture will start to bubble.

-Stir in the pecans and stir so the pecans are fully coated in the mixture.

-Cook for an additional 2 1/2 minutes making sure to stir constantly.

-Pour the pecans on the baking sheet and immediately spread out.

-Let cool (at room temperature) for 1 hour.

-Break apart and serve on salads, ice cream, desserts, and more!
