Bruschetta is the perfect appetizer for any gathering! There is nothing better than fresh tomatoes, basil, parmesan, and a balsamic drizzle on a crispy baguette!

Prep time: 10 minutes.


-1 baguette

-1 full pint of cherry tomatoes

-1/4 red onion chopped fine

-4 large fresh basil leaves chopped into ribbons

-1/4 cup grated parmesan (not packed)

-1 tablespoon olive oil

-1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

-1 clove of garlic (whole with the end cut off)

-1 jalapeño pepper (whole with the end cut off)

-1 teaspoon of olive oil in a small bowl with a pinch of pepper in it

-pinch of salt and pepper

Next Step:

-Slice your tomatoes into small pieces and add to a bowl.

-Chop your onion and add to the tomatoes.

-Chop your basil leaves and add to your bowl. Set aside.

-Slice your baguette into 12 pieces.

-Lightly toast.

-When your bread is finished toasting dip your clove of garlic into your olive oil/pepper mixture and rub each piece of bread.

-Then rub a jalapeño over the oil/pepper rub on all of your sliced toasted bread. Set aside.

-Back to your tomato mixture. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar, and add a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix.

-Then add in your parmesan and mix.

-Add a full heaping tablespoon of your tomato mixture onto your bread and serve!
