Chicken Lettuce Wraps! (Slow Cooker)


On busy days I love using the slow cooker. This delicious, easy to make, healthy dish is a perfect weeknight dinner for your whole family to enjoy! It is packed with protein, vegetables, and is so flavorful! Have a great day! xo


Ingredients:

-1 lb ground chicken breast

-3 cloves of garlic (chopped)

-3/4 white or yellow onion (chopped)

-salt and pepper

-2/3 cup hoisin sauce

-3 tablespoons soy sauce

-2 teaspoons ginger (grated)

-2 1/2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar

-1 teaspoon sriracha

-2 teaspoons pure sesame oil

-2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil

-1/2 cup cabbage (shredded)

-1 large cup of shredded carrots

-1 can of water chestnuts (chopped)

-Romaine lettuce leaves


Next Step:

-On the stovetop over medium heat spray your pan with avocado oil. Sprinkle the ground chicken with salt and pepper and then cook the ground chicken breast. When it is almost done cooking add the chopped onions.

-With 1 minute to go on the chicken add the chopped garlic.

-Pour the cooked chicken, onions, and garlic into your slow cooker.

-Add the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, ginger, rice wine vinegar, sriracha, sesame oil, water chestnuts, and cabbage. Stir to combine everything.

-Cover and cook on high for 2 hours.

-Uncover and add the shredded carrots. Stir.

-Cook 30 minutes.

-Add the chicken to your romaine lettuce and serve with extra sriracha on top! -ENJOY!!
